Menopause Matters, Let's Talk Series 4 Episode 4

In episode 4 of series 4 we continue the conversation about nutrition focussing on the micronutrients this time. (Listen to S3 E1 for more information on the macronutrients).


Why some women might need a wee boost in certain areas going through this transitional stage of life, which nutrients are we actually talking about and what lifestyle changes can they make to help with their menopause symptoms.


Women want to know about the impact of diet on menopause symptoms and how to adjust their nutrition for this life stage with menopause supporting micronutrients.


Many women are concerned about their bone and heart health especially in post menopause and ask about the importance of calcium and vitamin D especially given the increased risk of osteoporosis.


With a lot of women experiencing interrupted sleep patterns people are interested in magnesium and the role it plays in sleep and stress management during menopause.


We’re delighted to welcome back onto the podcast nutritionist Jackie Lynch to continue this conversation, and we also touch on a few topics like supplements…on the microbiome…interestingly more and more people are looking into how menopause affects gut health and eating patterns.
