To make things clearer and easier to understand we invited the leading specialist and researcher on this topic, Professor Susan Davis, onto the Menopause Matters, Let’s Talk podcast.

We discuss so much…the safety and potential side effects of testosterone replacement therapy for women and the role of testosterone in managing menopause symptoms, particularly related to low libido and energy levels.

Many women want to know about the safety and potential side effects of testosterone replacement therapy for women, especially in relation to hair growth, voice change and other potential risks.

A lot of women experience a decrease in sexual desire during menopause, and testosterone is sometimes considered as a treatment option, especially if estrogen therapy alone isn't sufficient.

What is the research saying about whether testosterone can improve mood and mental sharpness - the evidence is not conclusive.

There are so many questions surrounding this topic - what about the side effects of testosterone treatment - the potential for alopecia (hair loss), clitoral enlargement, and other side effects.

Women often ask about the need for blood tests before, during, and after testosterone treatment to monitor levels and ensure safety. Are they necessary and most importantly can you guarantee accurate readings.

Just a few examples of the questions that are asked about the effectiveness of testosterone for different symptoms and whether it works for everyone…can you use testosterone alongside other hormone replacement therapy and other medications.

Tune in to listen and find the answers to many of these question, listen on Spotify, Apple and Audible.
