Some common myths...

  • FSH blood tests - usually NOT required

  • Saliva - does NOT determine which level of hormones to take

  • Oestrogen deficiency can affect urinary symptoms as well as vaginal ones

  • Don't stop that contraception just because you are having early signs of the menopause

  • Vaginal oestrogen - you need to give it at least 3 - 6 months to work - be patient !

  • HRT does not just delay the inevitable menopausal symptoms
