An insight into our week here at Let's Talk Menopause!

We work with such a diverse range of organisations, not only is it interesting but incredibly rewarding collaborating and working with such inspirational individuals using innovative approaches within their workplaces and the community.

A lot of our work is still online, for obvious reasons, but we’ve recently seen a rise in requests for F2F sessions, which we love, that give us scope to develop programmes which give a real hands on holistic experience.

A couple of sessions we’ve run recently are most definitely worth a mention initiated by two inspirational leaders and you couldn’t get more diverse settings! Shell’s Cowdenbeath plant Mosmorran in Fife and the Port O’Leith Boxing Club in Edinburgh!

First up...

Sarah Hilditch head of OH Support at Shell in Fife originally asked if we could join their regular ‘ladies network group’ to give a short talk on the Menopause. After sending through the range of sessions we offer Sarah came back asking instead for a whole day F2F, resulting in myself and Becky visiting their site to give talks, (including one for men only), and taster sessions of complementary therapies, including acupuncture and reflexology, either side of the talks. Something we encourage organisations to include if possible to embrace a truly holistic approach.

What a fabulous day we had…talks were well attended & interactive with positive feedback from the taster sessions. Examples of feedback…felt like they were floating on air…they’d experienced a reset & rebalance.

Feedback from talks…’the guys found it very interesting and enlightening about things that have or are happening at home….they even wish we had done the session sooner so they knew it was all coming…It was at the correct level for the guys to understand, a good mixture of info and science…you are both amazing!’

We received such a warm welcome from everyone and came away feeling privileged to have the opportunity to work with people who have developed such a wonderful open, inclusive & supportive culture within their organisation.

Future plans ahead…sessions for offshore…this time we’re quietly relieved to be doing them online…as Sarah put it…don’t worry it wouldn’t mean helicopters and getting dunked into swimming pools!

Next up...

Lily Priggs joint owner of the

Port O' Leith Boxing Club whose innovative approach to entice a diverse range of ages and genders to have a go & experience the benefits of Boxing is truly wonderful.

The boxing club approached us to work with them to help inform and raise awareness about the menopause, alongside promoting what is a fabulous way of improving not only upper body strength but also to help with…pelvic floor, posture, loose ligaments, overall strength, mental health, energy levels, stamina, suppleness, bone strength, to name but a few benefits.

Once again we received a warm welcome from everyone accompanied by delicious, nutritious snacks…must remember to make those protein balls!

Becky & I thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday afternoon with this interesting & interactive group. Our talk was followed by a fabulous introduction to boxing itself…I can honestly say we are both boxing converts!

If anyone fancies having a go and lives in or near Edinburgh I would highly recommend dropping into The Port O' Leith Boxing Club you’ll get a warm welcome, excellent tuition and it’s seriously good fun - plus an extremely good workout!

There’s a class to suit everyone, a huge range, including Postnatal Punchers, Hot Flushes - Sharp Punches classes, Old Age Punchers, Punching with Parkinson’s.

Once again an organisation embracing a truly holistic approach to health and we’re already chatting about returning in the Autumn to cover other related topics.

This just gives you an idea of the type of organisations we work with and the fantastic people we meet every week. If you need a few testimonials to convince you to get in touch have a look at our testimonials page

So, if you’re looking for someone to facilitate bespoke, informative, educational sessions given by experienced presenters…we would love to hear from you. We run sessions which take a genuine holistic approach, giving everyone the information they need alongside the tools and strategies to help motivate self care, to support others through this transitional stage of life, as well as raising awareness.

A huge thank you to everyone we’ve worked with so far for not only making a genuine difference within your workplace but also for supporting our business by doing so…
